WWE is optimistic about an injured star potentially returning to action before the upcoming Survivor Series premium live event.
During the August 12 episode of WWE Raw, it was revealed that Dakota Kai has suffered a torn meniscus and will require surgery, sidelining her for approximately 8 to 10 weeks.
A report from PWInsider Elite has provided insights into the backstage reaction to her injury and the probable timing of when it occurred.
Dakota Kai is “widely liked and respected” among her peers backstage, and there was “significant sympathy” for her following the injury, according to the report.
It is believed that the injury was sustained during WWE’s recent tour of Japan, which occurred on July 25, 26, and 27, where Kai competed on all three nights.
There is hope that she will “return to the fold” in time for Survivor Series storylines, with the event scheduled for November 30 this year.
Dakota Kai was written off television following an attack by the newly named group, the Pure Fusion Collective, featuring Shayna Baszler, Zoey Stark, and Sonya Deville.
Meanwhile, Kairi Sane and IYO SKY, the remaining members of Damage CTRL, continue to seek revenge for the attack.
The fourth member of Damage CTRL, Asuka, is also sidelined due to injury and surgery from a few months ago.
We will provide updates on Kai’s recovery as they become available, and we extend our best wishes for her swift recovery.
