Two Big Title Matches Set For WWE NXT No Mercy
The lineup for WWE NXT’s No Mercy event, set to take place in Denver, Colorado on September 1, is quickly taking shape. On a recent episode of “NXT,” significant matches were established, including title defenses for both Ethan Page’s NXT Championship and Roxanne Perez’s NXT Women’s Championship. Additionally, Women’s North American Champion Kelani Jordan issued a challenge to Wendy Choo.
In the NXT Tag Team Championships scene, Nathan Frazer and Axiom have secured a rematch against Chase U’s duo, Andre Chase and Ridge Holland, following their victory over Duke Hudson and Riley Osbourne. This rematch was set after Frazer and Axiom resolved their previous disagreements and demonstrated unity in their recent performance.
Another key match confirmed by NXT General Manager Ava features former Heritage Cup champion Tony D’Angelo challenging NXT North American Champion Oba Femi. The confrontation escalated when D’Angelo and “The Family” interrupted Charlie Dempsey’s celebration, leading to a physical altercation with Femi. D’Angelo’s challenge was solidified after he countered Femi’s powerbomb with a decisive spinebuster.
These matchups were all confirmed before the night’s main event, which featured Joe Hendry from TNA Wrestling competing against Pete Dunne and Wes Lee for a chance at the NXT Championship at the upcoming No Mercy event in Denver.
