WWE Officially Changes Damage CTRL’s Status On Internal Roster

WWE Adjusts Damage CTRL’s Status on Internal Roster

Since their debut at the 2022 SummerSlam premium live event, Damage CTRL has been known as a heel faction in WWE. Recently, however, the group’s alignment has shifted, with IYO SKY, Kairi Sane, and Dakota Kai now reflecting babyface characteristics.

This change has been officially noted on WWE’s internal roster, where Damage CTRL is now categorized as “babyfaces” under the “WWE Raw” roster.

According to PWI Elite, this update occurred within the last week. While SKY, Sane, and Kai have transitioned to babyfaces, Asuka remains listed in the miscellaneous section of WWE’s internal roster due to her ongoing recovery from knee surgery.

Asuka, also known as “The Empress of Tomorrow,” sustained a knee injury during a March 2024 episode of “WWE SmackDown.” Despite this, she continued to compete through WWE WrestleMania 40 and eventually lost the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship alongside Kairi Sane to Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill at WWE Backlash. Since then, Asuka has not returned to the ring and is currently focusing on recovery, documented through various vlogs.

Similarly, Dakota Kai is recovering from a knee injury, expected to be sidelined for eight to ten weeks due to a torn meniscus. In her absence, SKY and Sane will face Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships on the upcoming “WWE Raw” episode, in a triple threat match that also includes Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark.
