AEW Dynamite Viewership Increases On 8/14, Demo Also Rises

AEW Dynamite saw an increase in viewership on August 14, drawing 703,000 viewers and achieving a 0.23 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. This marks a rise from the previous week’s 622,000 viewers and a 0.19 demo rating.

On Wednesday, AEW Dynamite led cable television in viewership.

Dave Meltzer tweeted: “AEW Dynamite did 703K/0.23 last night and was first for the day on cable.”

In this week’s episode, Mercedes Moné successfully defended the AEW TBS Championship against Hikaru Shida. Following the match, Britt Baker attacked Moné, but Kamille intervened to save the champion.

Hangman Page secured a victory over Jay Lethal, then attacked Lethal and Jeff Jarrett backstage before the match.

The Young Bucks won by disqualification against The Acclaimed after FTR interfered to prevent Matthew Jackson from cheating. FTR will face The Acclaimed on Saturday night’s Collision.

The main event saw Swerve Strickland defeat Wheeler Yuta via referee stoppage, ending the show with Strickland hitting Bryan Danielson with the House Call.
