TNA’s Joe Hendry Cuts Cryptic Promo On WWE NXT

Joe Hendry made a bold statement to the “WWE NXT” audience, declaring that next week, his presence will be undeniable, even without anyone saying his name. This follows his victory over Gallus’ Joe Coffey, which was fueled by weeks of Coffey’s jealousy over Hendry’s popularity as a current TNA Wrestling talent appearing in “NXT.”

The tension culminated during night one of the Great American Bash, where Hendry performed a song about Gallus, leading to an attack by the group in the middle of the ring. The match was subsequently set for Tuesday’s “NXT” special, where Hendry triumphed in his WWE singles debut over Coffey, securing the win with his finisher, the Standing Ovation.

Following his match, Joe Hendry, who is still under contract with TNA but appears on “NXT” and is allowed to train at the Performance Center, was asked about his time with WWE’s developmental brand. Hendry responded to the interviewer, hinting that his time in NXT might not be over. He expressed his enjoyment of being in NXT, stating he “might just stay for a lot longer.” He acknowledged that many in the locker room might not like this, but invited anyone with a problem to find him on the show next Tuesday.

Hendry’s current contract allows him to wrestle for both TNA and WWE, as well as on the independent scene, and train at WWE’s Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. This unique arrangement is part of an ongoing relationship between WWE and TNA that started over the summer, highlighted by TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace appearing in NXT to challenge for the NXT Women’s Championship.
