Despite not having captured a championship in NXT yet, Hail had the opportunity to challenge Perez for her title in April and previously faced Tiffany Stratton for the NXT Women’s Championship twice last year, though she did not win.

At 20 years old, Hail has been wrestling in NXT for three years and has had multiple championship opportunities, demonstrating her impressive progress. Perez, who retained her championship after defeating Lola Vice at NXT Heatwave in Toronto, Canada, could potentially defend her title against Hail at the NXT Great American Bash on August 6, although her opponent has not been confirmed yet.
