The Godfather Names WWE Hall of Famer Among the Toughest People to Work Withc

WWE Hall of Famer The Godfather has faced some of the biggest names in wrestling, and he recently shared insights on both the easiest and hardest opponents he encountered during his career.

In a recent episode of Poddin’ Ain’t Easy, The Godfather reflected on his experiences and mentioned several wrestlers he found easy to work with. “Owen Hart, Shawn Michaels, Fit Finlay, Dave Taylorโ€”those guys were easy to work with,” he said. “I mean, I could keep going, but Owen and Shawn were like a night off.”

He went on to explain that both Hart and Michaels would “sell their asses off,” allowing him to let Shawn call the entire match due to the seamless flow of their work together. Conversely, The Godfather recalled his experiences facing Bob Backlund and Kamala during his time as Papa Shango, labeling them as some of the most challenging opponents. He noted that it was particularly difficult to sell their moves effectively.

“Kamala was so much better at his gimmick than I was with mine that I didn’t know how to react,” The Godfather admitted. “When I got in the ring with Kamala, he would act afraid of me because I was a voodoo man, and I just didnโ€™t know how to respond.”

Recently, The Godfather also shared the story of how he began his wrestling career while working as a bouncer, revealing that a Sylvester Stallone movie played a crucial role in motivating him to take the sport seriously.
