The October 7, 2024 episode of Monday Night Raw will be broadcast live from the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Missouri, USA. This episode marks the fallout from the Bad Blood event and will kick off a two-hour version of the show. WWE has lined up several exciting matches and segments, including two title matches.

Following the thrilling WWE Bad Blood 2024 Premium Live Event, where CM Punk triumphed over Drew McIntyre inside Hell in a Cell, Liv Morgan retained her World Title against Rhea Ripley, thanks to the surprising return of Raquel Rodriguez, and Damian Priest avenged his SummerSlam loss to Finn Balor, WWE is gearing up for Survivor Series 2024. The road to Survivor Series will start taking shape during this episode of Raw.

Three matches have been officially announced for tonight’s show: Gunther (c) vs. Sami Zayn for the World Title, Sheamus vs. Pete Dunne in a Donnybrook Match, and Jey Uso (c) vs. Xavier Woods for the Intercontinental Title. In addition, Seth Rollins made a notable return last week, interfering in Bronson Reed’s Last Monster Standing Match against Braun Strowman. The feud between Pure Fusion Collective and Zelina Vega’s team continues, while Killer Kross stirs up discord within both The New Day and Awesome Truth. This preview will focus on the title matches, the Donnybrook Match, and the implications of Gunther potentially dominating Sami Zayn as WWE heads toward Survivor Series.

Gunther will defend his World Heavyweight Championship against Sami Zayn in a singles match, which is expected to main event the show and serve as a rematch from WrestleMania 40, albeit for a different title. Speculation suggests that Gunther will retain his title by defeating Zayn, emphasizing his dominance. With challengers like Seth Rollins, Damian Priest, CM Punk, and Goldberg all eyeing the championship, Gunther has a significant target on his back. Rollins and Priest both possess rematch clauses, while Punk has declared his intent to go after Gunther once he concludes his rivalry with McIntyre. This feud stems from their shared history in the Brawling Brutes, with Dunne seemingly feeling sidelined after his name change from Butch. Targeting a former World Champion like Sheamus is a strategic move for Dunne, yet Sheamus remains focused on future mid-card title opportunities, especially the Intercontinental Title, which would complete his Grand Slam aspirations.

In the Intercontinental Title match, Jey Uso will defend his championship against Xavier Woods of The New Day. This marks Jey’s first title defense and is a crucial match for Woods. There are speculations that Kofi Kingston’s accidental interference could cost Woods the match, potentially leading to a fallout between the two.

With the backdrop of recent weapon-filled sneak attacks, Sheamus and Pete Dunne will clash in a Good Ol’ Fashioned Donnybrook Match—a no disqualification match infused with Irish flair, where a variety of weapons can be employed. Predictions indicate that Sheamus will emerge victorious, thereby concluding their rivalry.
